Faxing
Registering Sender Information
A fax you receive may have information, such as the sender’s name or the company name, the
sender’s phone or fax number, and the date and time of the transmission, printed in small type at the
top of each page. Such sender information is called Transmit Terminal Identification, or TTI.
You can register your TTI in this machine, so that the recipient of your fax will know who sent it, and
when it was sent.
Below is an example of how your sender information would be printed on a fax sent from the
machine:
(A) Date and time of transmission
(B) Your fax/telephone number
You can select FAX or TEL to be printed before the number. See “TX TERMINAL ID” in the
User’s Guide on-screen manual.
(C) Your name
(D) Prints the name of the destination when sending from coded speed dialing.
(E) Page number
Note
z
When sending black & white faxes, you can set the sender information to print inside or outside the
image area. Refer to “TX TERMINAL ID” in “FAX SETTINGS” of the User’s Guide on-screen manual.
z
For color sending, the sender information is printed inside the print area and the recipient’s name is not
printed.
z
You can enter the sender information from the Operation Panel. See “Registering Your Fax/Telephone
Number and Name (Sender Information)” on page 34.
z
Three date display formats are available: YYYY/MM/DDMM/DD/YYYY, and DD/MM/YYYY. For details
on the date format settings, refer to “DATE DISPLAY” in “FAX SETTINGS” of the User’s Guide on-
screen manual.
