To resume normal playback, press H.

• If 

 appears, the operation is not available on the disc.

• When playing the discs recorded on this recorder, 

angles and subtitles cannot be changed.

• For a Super VCD, you cannot select audio track 2 if one 

is recorded on the disc.

• When playing DVD-RWs (VR mode), surround effect 

may be lost in some Sound Field settings.

Press ZOOM repeatedly while viewing the picture 
as follows:

Plays in slow motion when pressed repeatedly in 
pause mode.

Replays the scene/briefly fast forwards the scene.

Selects one of the audio tracks recorded on the disc 
when pressed repeatedly.

: Selects the language.

Selects one of the recorded audio tracks.

SUR (Surround)

Switches the Surround effect on ([SUR ON]) or off 
([SUR OFF]) when pressed during playback. 
Surround lets you enjoy virtual surround sound effects 
created from the front left and right speakers.
This function is for equipment connected to the LINE 
output jacks.

 (subtitle)

Selects a subtitle language when pressed repeatedly.

 (angle)

Selects an angle when pressed repeatedly.

” appears briefly at the scene where the angle to 

be changed.

If various angles (multi-angles) for a scene are 
recorded on the disc, “

” appears in the front panel 

display.

MUTING

Mutes the sound when using the speaker system. To 
cancel, press MUTING again or 2 +.
