Sort/Search Database
There are six ways to sort the database, the default sort order is DEPTPLU. The first button
sorts by either the DEPT number or the PLU number. When sorting by DEPT, the PLU numbers
might not necessarily be listed in numerical order. When sorting by PLU, the dept numbers
might not necessarily be listed in numerical order. The second button sorts by either DEPTPLU
or DEPTUPC. DEPTPLU index means that the database is sorted
by dept number then each dept is sorted by PLU number. The third
button sorts by DEPTCOM1 (commodity line 1) or DEPTBATCH.
The DEPTCOM1 sorts by dept number then each dept is sorted
alphabetically by commodity line 1. The DEPTBATCH sorts by
department number then by PLU batch flag. To search the database for a
specific PLU number, simply type the PLU number into the textbox (the
enter key is not required). The database is searched after every digit is entered. The PLU number
that is less than or equal to the PLU number entered will be highlighted. Valid numbers are from
1 to 999999.
Send PLU’s/Ingredient’s/Nutrition by Batch
In Scale View, the term “batch” simply refers to any record in the
database that has it’s’ “batch checkbox” checked. There is only 1
checkbox for all 38 lines of Ingredients per PLU. For PLU’s only,
the column under Batch in the PLU Table will have a 1 if the box
is checked, or a 0 if it’s unchecked. To send by batch, click on the appropriate button, select the
dept the PLU(s), Ingredients, or Nutrition reside in, and click yes. All the PLU(s), Ingredients,
or Nutrition in the selected dept that are “checked” for batch will be sent to all the scales in
that dept. If a PLU is new and has not yet been sent to the scale, make sure to send the PLU’s
before sending the Ingredients of Nutrition. If communications is successful, the checkbox’s
will become unchecked. If there is an error at any scale, all the item’s checkbox’s will remain
checked.
