Settings
Define a default access point for 

downloading missing application 

components. For how to create an 

access point, see p. 76.
Assign an access point to an applica-

tion, select the application, then:

the application for downloading ad-

ditional data (p. 76).

Some Java™ applications may re-

quire a data connection to be made 

to a defined access point. You will be 

asked for an access point if none has 

been selected. The options are:

A connection is estab-

lished without notifica-

tion.

You will be asked before 

the application creates a 

connection.

No connection is allowed.

Further options
Only available, when the JAD file 

contains an URL address.

A data connection will be estab-

lished to get additional information 

about the application.

A data connection will be estab-

lished to check if there is an update 

available.

any software not included in the original delivery 

package. This also applies to functions enabled 

subsequently at the customer's instigation. The 

purchaser bears sole risk for the loss of, damage 

to, and any defects arising in, this device or the 

applications or software and for any direct dam-

age or consequential damage (e.g. acoustic 

shock) of whatever nature resulting from the use 

of these applications or software. For technical 

reasons, such applications or software and sub-

sequent enabling of certain functions are lost in 

the event of the device being replaced/re-sup-

plied and may be lost if it is repaired. In these cas-

es the purchaser will need to download the 

application again or re-enable it. Siemens does 

not warranty or guarantee or accept any liability 

for the customer's ability to download or enable 

applications again or to do so free of charge.
