You can reset the camera settings to their defaults. Refer to “Default
Settings” (p.273) for the reset settings.

Press the 3 button in Q mode.
The [W Setting] menu appears.
When you press the 3 button in A mode, press the four-way
controller (5) once.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Reset].

Press the four-way controller (5).
The [Reset] screen appears.

Use the four-way controller (2)
to select [Reset].

Press the 4 button.
The settings return to the defaults.
•
Once the start-up screen has been set, it is not being deleted even if
the original image is deleted or the SD Memory Card or built-in memory
is formatted. However the image is deleted if you change the start-up
screen after deleting the recorded image or formatting the memory.
•
Select [Off] to hide the start-up screen.
•
The start-up screen is not displayed when you turn the camera
on in the playback mode.
•
Movies or images taken at F (Digital Panorama) mode cannot
be used for the start-up screen.

The following settings are not affected by resetting:
