TUNING + scans from lower to higher 
frequency stations and TUNING – for 
scanning higher to lower.
The receiver stops scanning whenever a 
station is received.

Turn INPUT SELECTOR to select the FM 
or AM band.

Press TUNING MODE repeatedly to select 
“AUTO”.

Press TUNING + or TUNING –.

If the FM stereo reception is poor and “ST” 
flashes on the display panel, select monaural 
audio to lessen the sound distortion.
Press FM MODE repeatedly until the 
“MONO” indicator lights up on the display 
panel.
To return to the stereo mode, press FM MODE 
repeatedly until the “MONO” indicator on the 
display panel does not light up.

You can enter the frequency of a station 
directly by using the numeric buttons.

You can also use INPUT SELECTOR on 
the receiver.

Example 1: FM 102.50 MHz
• USA and Canada models only:

Select 1 

b 0 b 2 b 5

• Other models:

Select 1 

b 0 b 2 b 5 b 0

Example 2: AM 1,350 kHz
Select 1 

b 3 b 5 b 0

Adjust the direction of the AM loop antenna 
(aerial) for optimum reception upon tuning to 
an AM station.

“- - - .- - MHz” or “- - - - kHz” appears and then 
the screen returns to the current frequency.
Make sure you have entered the right 
frequency. Try repeating steps 2 to 4. If you 
still cannot tune to a station, the frequency 
may not be in use in your area.
