Installing Batteries 
 
The remote control requires 2 AAA size 
(1.5V) batteries. 
1. On the back of the remote control, press 
the battery cover tab, lift and remove the 
battery cover. 
2. Insert 2 AAA-size batteries, matching 
the (+) and (–) symbols shown on the 
battery compartment. 
3. Put back the battery cover. Test the 
remote control by press and hold Setup 
key for 3 seconds, the Red LED 
indicator at top right will blink twice. 
 
RF Pairing with STB 
 
 
Method of pairing: 
1. Press Setup key until the LED indicator 
blinks twice.  
2. Press Info key until 3 random digits are 
displayed on TV screen, the LED 
indicator turns on.  
3. Enter the 3 random digits numeric 
displayed on TV screen to pair the 
remote control with target STB. When 
each digit key has been pressed and 
released, the LED indicator acts a 
reverse blink.  
4. The LED indicator will blink twice once 
the remote control has been paired with 
the target successfully. Otherwise if 
pairing is unsuccessful, the LED 
indicator will blink 5 times and the 
remote control returns to user mode. 
 
Notes:  
• 
In Step 3, STB will display 3 random 
digits on TV screen, you need press first 
digit within 8 seconds, for second and 
third digits, you have to press the digit 
within 4 seconds. 
• 
If timeout occurs, the LED indicator will 
blink 5 times and the remote control 
returns to user mode. 
• 
You also can interrupt the pairing during 
Validation Process by pressing Info key. 
• 
If pairing is interrupted by pressing Info 
key, or pairing failed, the LED indicator 
will blink 5 times, and the remote control 
returns to user mode. 
• 
Pairing distance not more than 2 meters. 
 
Programming to control TV 
device 
 
There are two ways to do this.  If your 
device is listed in the Code List at the end 
of this Manual, you can use section A. If 
your device is not listed, you will need to 
use section B.   
 
A. Manually 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice. 
2. Enter the appropriate 4-digit setup code 
for TV (from the Code List) by pressing 
the number keys (0-9) on the remote 
control. 
 
• 
If the LED indicator blinks twice, a 
correct code has been entered. 
• 
If the LED indicator blinks 5 times, an 
invalid code has been entered.  Start 
over at step 1. 
 
Notes:  
If you are interrupted while you are 
programming, the remote control may 
timeout before you complete the code 
setup and you will need to start over. 
This is indicated by the LED indicator 
blink 5 times, and returns to user mode. 
 
B. Using the Automatic Search 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice.  
2. Enter 991 by pressing the number keys 
on the remote control, the LED indicator 
will blink twice.  
3. Press and hold the           key, until the 
TV turns off. Release the           key. 
4. You can control TV with the 5 keys 
which are TV power, Input, Mute, 
Volume Up and Volume Down.  
5. Press OK and EXIT key together to exit 
automatic search mode. 
 
• 
For step 3, code search will start 1.5 
seconds after press and hold the TV 
power 
key.  
• 
At step 4, you have to short press the 
TV power 
key. For long press of more 
than 1.5 seconds will trigger remote to 
automatic search for next code. Until 
step 5 which exit the automatic search 
mode. 
• 
If you want to continue to automatic 
search for next code, repeat step 3. 
• 
If an invalid code has been entered at 
step 2, the LED indicator will blink 5 
times and return to user mode.  Start 
over at step 1. 
 
Changing Volume control 
 
The remote is set to control volume level of 
STB. Once a valid TV code is 
programmed, the volume keys will control 
the TV volume. 
 
A. Change volume control from TV to 
STB 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice. 
2. Enter 993 by pressing the number keys 
on the remote control, the LED indicator 
will blink twice. 
3. Press and release number key 1, the 
LED indicator will blink twice. 
 
• 
If an invalid code has been entered at 
step 2, the LED indicator will blink 5 
times and return to user mode.  Start 
over at step 1. 
• 
If 15 seconds timeout occurs, the LED 
indicator blinks 5 times and returns to 
user mode. 
 
B. Change volume control from STB to 
TV 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice. 
2. Enter 993 by pressing the number keys 
on the remote control, the LED indicator 
will blink twice. 
3. Press and release number key 2, the 
LED indicator will blink twice. 
 
• 
If an invalid code has been entered at 
step 2, the LED indicator will blink 5 
times and return to user mode.  Start 
over at step 1. 
• 
If 15 seconds timeout occurs, the LED 
indicator will blink 5 times and return to 
user mode. 
 
Check TV Code been set to the 
remote
 
 
If you need to check the TV code that been 
set to the remote, you can follow the steps 
below. 
 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice. 
2. Enter 990 by pressing the number keys 
on the remote control, the LED indicator 
will blink twice.  
3. To view the first code, Press number key 
1
, release the key and count on the 
number of LED indicator blink. (For 
example, 3 blinks, the code digit is 3) 
Note: If code digit is 0, then the LED 
indicator will not blink. 
4. Repeat step 3 for second, third and 
fourth digit. Press number key 2 for 
second digit; Press number key 3 for 
third digit; Press number key 4 for fourth 
digit. 
 
• 
If an invalid code has been entered at 
step 2, the LED indicator will blink 5 
times and return to user mode.  Start 
over at step 1. 
 
Resetting TV Configuration 
Settings
 
 
1. Press and hold the Setup key until the 
LED indicator blinks twice.  
2. Enter 996 by pressing the number keys 
on the remote control, the LED indicator 
will blink twice.  
 
• 
If an invalid code has been entered at 
step 2, the LED indicator will blink 5 
times and return to user mode.  Start 
over at step 1. 
 
Care of your Remote Control 
 
Do not use your Remote Control in other 
ways that it was designed for. Prevent 
water or other liquids from damaging your 
Remote Control. 
 
Check your batteries to ensure no leaking 
batteries are used. For optimum 
performance, change the batteries after 6 
to 9 months. 
 
Troubleshooting 
 
1. The LED indicator is off when you press 
the remote keys: 
• 
Check batteries whether are correctly 
installed or not. 
• 
Change batteries if needed. 
 
2. The LED indicator blinks but the remote 
control cannot function when you press 
the remote keys: 
• 
Check the power of STB. 
• 
Power Off then On the STB, and try to 
do pairing of remote and receiver.
