Interface
Disabling “Interface” disables the internal wireless LAN module.
Factory default setting : Enabled
Wireless LAN standard
Sets the wireless LAN standard to use. When the unit type is “Access point”, you can select one of
checkboxes. When the unit type is “Station”, you can select more than one check boxes according to the
standard of the access point to be connected. The wireless LAN standard to be used is determined
automatically depending on the destination access point.
Factory default setting : Check only IEEE802.11a.

Select the operation mode of the FX-DS540-AP/APP from among “Standard Infrastructure”, “Compatible
Infrastructure”, and “Advanced Infrastructure”.

The access point can be used in both of the Standard Infrastructure and Compatible
Infrastructure modes. This mode is a mixture of the two.

Unit type
Select either “Access point” or “Station”. “Access Point” means the Access point manages user units
and other Access Points that are operating as stations. “Station” means the Access Point is managed by
(logs in to) another Access Point and is set when the Access Point is used as a bridge or similar.
