INSTALLATION OF THE SUBSCRIBER MODULE
When power is applied to a Canopy module or the unit reset via the web-based interface, the
module will take approximately 25 seconds to boot up.  During this boot up time, power on self-
tests and other diagnostics are being performed.
The following steps must be performed for successful installation:
•  Select a mounting location that is free from objects, such as buildings, large trees, etc., that
will interfere with the line of sight to the Access Point cluster location.  Be mindful of the
Fresnel Zone.
•  The Canopy module should be mounted vertically as shown in FIGURE 3.  All Canopy
modules’ antennas are vertically polarized in this direction.
•  Mount the Canopy subscriber module to a secured location on the side/roof of the building.
The mount must be rigid and the subscriber module must not sway from outside forces.
•  Illustrated in FIGURE 3

is an example of mounting the unit to an antenna mast.  Stainless
steel hose-clamps, or any suitable outdoor equivalent, may be used to secure the unit to
the mast.
