Keep the following integration points in mind, when embedding a FreeWave radio into your OEM equipment:

RS232 signals range from -15.0 to +15.0 and TTL signals range from 0 to +5 V.

l

FreeWave radios are shielded to prevent any unintended emission. Depending on the
OEM equipment design, additional shielding may be required to prevent the OEM equipment from
interfacing with the FreeWave device.

l

To connect the radio to the OEM device without modifying the OEM circuit board, see the cable
options and connector pinouts in this guide. The OEM equipment needs to support TTL singals for
the MM2-T.
