3.1.3 Power supply
The Control Unit is powered by a lead 12V, 12Ah battery.

3.1.3.1 Charge level and battery replacement
When the indicator next to the power supply port lights, the system is powered. If the
indicator does not light, either the cable is not connected correctly or the battery needs
recharged (less than 10V). The battery has a useful life of about 12 hours. When the
battery runs down, turn off the unit, connect another battery, and restart the system. Allow
approximately 3 hours to recharge the battery. Use an appropriate battery charger.

The battery status is indicated in the software window:
¾ Green if the battery is fully charged
¾ Yellow if it is semi-charged
¾ Red if the battery needs recharged

NOTE
The control unit continuously draws current from the battery. To prevent
drain, unplug the battery when the unit is not in use.
