The machine uses individual Black, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta ink 
cartridges that are separate from the print head assembly.

Starter ink cartridges are in the box. The first time you install the 
inkcartridges the machine will use extra ink to fill the ink delivery 
tubes. This is a one-time process that enables high quality printing. 
Afterward, replacement ink cartridges will print the specifiednumber 
of pages. Starter cartridge yield is approx. 65% of the yield of the 
LC61 replacement cartridge.
