The Tandberg StorageLoader 2U LTO easily scales ‘on demand’ from 
a 1 x 10 to a 2 x 20 autoloader, with a choice of one or two half-height 
(HH) LTO-2 or LTO-3 drives or a single full-height (FH) LTO-3 or LTO-4 
drive.  It  redefines  simplicity  by  offering  virtual  plug-and-play  tape 
backup and Capacity on Demand by changing drive configuration or 
adding a second cartridge magazine, all with industry-leading stand-
ard features, affordability and warranty support.

The Tandberg StorageLoader 2U LTO is configured with one LTO-2 or 
one LTO-3 drive and can be upgraded to hold a second HH drive to 
double its speed and offer drive redundancy. Adding the second LTO 
tape drive, field upgrading to next generation LTO drives or to a native 
FC  interface  can  be  completed  while  the  library  is  still  in  its  rack. 
Upgrading from an LTO HH drive to one LTO-3 or LTO-4 FH SCSI or 
native  FibreChannel  drive  can  double  or  quadrupale  potential 
capacity and more than triple LTO-2 drive speed.

The  Tandberg  StorageLoader  2U  LTO  is  compatible  with  Ultrium  
data cartridges. The StorageLoader 2U LTO can accommodate up to 
20 cartridges.

The StorageLoader 2U LTO ships with a right hand (RH) magazine 
that includes an additional I/E port. Adding the second LH magazine 
the  StorageLoader  2U  LTO  inexpensively  doubles  the  storage 
capacity of the original library.
