CHANGING BATTERIES

Helpful Mommy Tips

. Make sure to pay attention to your baby’s needs.

. Baby may cry or fuss. If so, be sure to check if she is hungry, needs a 

diaper change or does not feel well.

. Make sure to have the interactive spoon and bottle easily available while 

playing and caring for your baby. 

. Always check to see if baby’s diaper is on properly and is secured.

. Remember that your baby is only ticklish on the bottoms of her feet. 

. Only use your hand to fully cover your baby’s forehead and eyes to play 

a game of peek-a-boo.

. Babies don't always burp right away. Make sure to be patient and pat your 

baby's back gently to help her burp. 

. Your baby's interactive spoon is really special. It is the only spoon that 

will help her feel better so make sure not to misplace it.

. If baby is not listening or playing correctly, try turning her off and back on.

. If you haven't played with your baby in a while, you may have to turn her 

switch off and on to wake her up again.

BURP HER!

Lightly pat baby’s back and hear her 

burp! She will actually burp and say 

phrases such as,

“Burp me!”

       FEED HER!

Give baby the interactive bottle and listen to her 

drink. She will make drinking sounds and say 

phrases such as, “Yummy!”

       DIAPER CHANGE!

All babies need a fresh diaper! Lay 

her flat on her back and remove 

diaper. When the diaper has been 

changed you will hear phrases 

such as, “All better!”

       TICKLE TIME!

Baby loves to play! Just tickle the 

bottoms of her feet to hear her laugh. 

She will giggle and say phrases such as, 

“Tickle me!”

    SICK BABY!

Baby’s cheeks will glow red when she

is running a fever. Give baby medicine 

with the interactive spoon and watch the 

purple liquid disappear. Her cheeks will 

stop glowing once she finishes taking 

her medicine and she will say phrases 

such as, “Feel better!”

Useful Information

Important Baby Care Tips

. Never give your baby a bath in real water.

. Clean baby’s face and body by gently wiping with a damp cloth.

. If baby’s clothing and hat become dirty, they are machine washable.

Be sure to use a mild detergent, cold water and the gentle cycle. You can also 

spot clean with a cool, damp cloth. Always hang articles of clothing to dry.

. To make sure baby’s bottle and spoon are clean, hand wash with mild

dish soap and water. Remember, these are not dishwasher safe.

. Be sure to never poke your baby in her eyes. 

. Do not shake or drop your baby. 

. Baby’s diaper is important; make sure to never discard or misplace.

. When baby says “Bye bye” it is time to change her batteries.

. Always give your baby lots of hugs, kisses and love!

ATTENTION! Remove and discard packaging ties and fasteners before giving toy to child. Please keep this packaging for

• Earn Baby Points by feeding, burping, playing, changing, giving medicine and putting 

 your baby to sleep.

• To use your Baby Points, click on the Baby Points counter. 

• Use your earned Baby Points to acquire virtual elements for your baby’s room such as 

 furniture, accessories and window scenery. You can also use your Baby Points to

 choose new outfits, accessories and toys for your virtual baby.

• Accumulating Baby Points allows you to really personalize your virtual baby and her

   room by changing her fashions, room décor and toys as often as you want.

• To help persevere battery life close the app completely when not in use. 

• Check to make sure that the Bluetooth on your smart device is ON.

• After the app download is complete and Bluetooth is enabled on your device,

 open the Baby So Real

TM

 app. 

• Locate the Bluetooth connectivity button on the baby’s back and push the button. 

• A green light on the baby’s back will start blinking. After a few seconds this light 

will stop blinking and remain green. This indicates that the baby is now connected 

to your smart device.

• On your smart device, the grey play button in the center of the app screen 

will become pink when pairing is successful.

• Press the pink play button to reach the app home screen and start your 

 Baby So Real

TM

 app experience!

• On the app’s home screen, locate the pink house icon in the upper 

left corner. 

• Press the house icon to control volume settings for app sounds and music.

• The house icon also offers the following option: “Choose your baby.” You

can pick the baby most similar to the one you have adopted or you can 

choose any one you like.

• Press the green legend button to reveal The Story of the Cabbage Patch

Kids

®

 and to learn more about where these special babies come from. 

• Press the back arrow to return to app play.

This online mode allows you 

to see a virtual nursery where 

you can play with your baby, 

feed her, change her diaper, 

burp her, and share your love 

and care. You can also play

PEEK-A-BOO!

Time to play baby’s favorite game! Be sure to 

completely cover her eyes and forehead with 

your hand and then remove to hear her 

laugh and say phrases such as, “More 

peek-a-boo!”

SLEEPY TIME!

Baby is tired! Rock her to sleep or 

lay her down for a nap. Like a REAL baby 

she may not rock to sleep at first, but be 

patient and try again. When you lay her 

down she will close her eyes, yawn and say 

phrases such as, “Night, night!”
