3.0 Theory of Operation
3.1
Block Diagram
The embedded USB flash module uses S
TEC‘s proprietary USB flash memory controller, and is combined
with SLC NAND flash for optimal device reliability.
The controller‘s firmware supports the latest NAND
flash technology from multiple vendors, and is optimized for the highest performance and reliability.
The controller consists of the functional blocks shown in Figure 4 and described below.

3.1.1 Controller Embedded Components
Microcontroller, the hardware backbone for the USB flash memory controller algorithm.
