Overview
The CrystalLink USB Fiber extenders are
usually sold in pairs, a transmitter unit and a receiver
unit. The transmitter unit connects to your computers
USB port and the receiver unit connects to 4 USB 1.1
or 2.0 devices. The transmitter and receiver unit are
connected together with up standard fiber optical
Single-mode or Multi-Mode cable (depending on
model). The CrystalLink USB Fiber supports USB hubs
for adding additional USB devices.

Installation
Installing the CrystalLink USB Fiber
extender is as simple as connecting the computer’s
USB port to the transmitter unit, connecting up to 4
USB 1.1 or 2.0 devices to the receiver unit and
connecting the local and remote units together with

Expanding CrystalLink USB Fiber
In addition to
extending four USB devices, you can add up to 3
standard USB 4-port hubs to access additional USB
devices. Connecting 3 USB hubs to the receiver will
