Installation
This section will guide you through the installation of your Video Splitter. Please read
through the instructions carefully and complete each step in the order listed.
1. Make sure that the computers and monitors you are using are turned off.
2. Plug one end of your SVGA extension cable into the Video Splitter’s Video In port.
Plug the other end into your computer’s video output port.
3. Plug your monitor cable into any of the Video Splitter’s available Video Out ports.
4. Repeat Step 3 for any other monitors you wish to attach to the Video Splitter.
5. Set the Video Splitter’s Gain Control switch as follows:
• High if any of the monitors are more than 98ft (30m) away from your computer
• Normal if all of the monitors are less than 98ft (30m) away
NOTE:
The Gain Control switch is located on the front of the ST122, and on the bottom
of the ST124/128.
6. Plug the power adapter into the Video Splitter’s AC 9V power jack. Plug the other
end into an available wall socket.
7. Power up all devices. To turn on the ST124 and ST128, press the Power button on
the front of the unit. The ST122 does not require a power button. If the devices are
properly connected to their power source, the power LED on the front of the device
should be lit.
NOTE:
The ST122 also has a Signal LED that will be lit when the signal is clear between
the device and the computer.
Cascading Your Video Splitters
To cascade the Video Splitters, use an SVGA extension cable to connect the Video Out
port of the Master Video Splitter unit (the unit directly connected to the computer) to the
Video In
port of the Slave Video Splitter unit.
NOTE:
The 210ft (65m) broadcasting length does not apply to cascaded units. Video
Splitters that are cascaded should be stacked or kept close together.
