announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco
®
256-MB Flash Disk and 2-GB Hard Disk for
the Cisco CSS 11500 Series. The last day to order the affected products is March 30, 2006. Customers with active service
contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until March 30, 2011.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected products. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by
this announcement.
The new 1-GB Flash Disk will be the default configuration for Cisco CSS 11501, 11503, and 11506 content services switches from this date
forward. Customers are encouraged to migrate and order the new 1-GB Flash Disk, which will maximize the lifespan of the Cisco CSS hardware.
