ADSL2+ IP-DSLAM featuring IP/Ethernet
service-aware; AC or DC models available
The Bitstorm-RP family of compact IP-DSLAM products offer feature-rich IP
and Ethernet functions and support Triple Play Services over single or bonded
ADSL2+ lines. The Bitstorm-RP family features forty-eight (48) ADSL2+
ports with integrated splitters (600/900 Ohm-POTS/ISDN), two (2) integrated
100/1000BaseT and two (2) SFP based Gigabit Ethernet fiber uplink
interfaces. Products in this family are available in DC or AC powered models.
The compact form-factor (1.5U) and temperature hardened design of the
Bitstorm-RP DC models allow deployment in remote cabinets, effectively
shortening the local loop and providing high bandwidth connections to
subscribers.
The Bitstorm-RP family delivers line-rate performance and triple play services
supported by advanced L2/L3 features such as - DHCP Option 82, IGMP
Snooping/Proxy, QoS and Security/Filtering in either Bridged or VLAN
Switched operating modes. In addition, the Bitstorm-RP now supports Cabinet
Mode, which is normally used on systems located in outside plant (i.e. street)
cabinets which share the same binder group as DSL services originating from
the CO. When configured on a DSL port, the Cabinet Mode feature disables
the use of all downstream frequencies below a specified cut-off frequency and
can be used to minimize cross talk and interference with CO-based DSL
services.
The Bitstorm-RP features an intuitive Web Graphical Interface (GUI) with
online configuration help for device management. It also supports a complete
set of ADSL MIBs for SNMP based management along with ZMS integration
for device fault identification, database backup and restoration.
Field-replaceable fan and filter units provide serviceability and ensure
longevity in harsh environments. The Bitstorm-RP DC models are temperature
hardened to operate in -40ºC to +65ºC range of temperature.
