In order for the library to recognize the new tape drive, you must set the tape 

drive configuration to match the tape drives that are installed in the library.

Do not connect the SCSI cables at this time.

To set tape drive configuration:

At the Home screen, press Drive.

If necessary, enter the operator panel password (see 

).

Press 

 until the selection arrow (

) points to Drive Configuration.

Press Select.  

The library lists “no drive” only if there is no room for more tape 

drives. For example, in the above screen, the library has one half 

height tape drives. The two tape drive number is for two half height 

tape drives.
