ADC Section
Checking the Power Up This Section checkbox can enable the audio ADC.
This enables the other controls in this section of the screen. Checking the
Stereo Volume box ties the left and right channels of the volume control
together, so they can be moved as one. When in stereo volume mode,
checking either channel’s Mute checkbox mutes both channels. If stereo mode
is not selected, then left and right channel volumes can be adjusted
independently, and muting is done for each channel with the corresponding
Mute checkbox.

The input to the ADC can come from either the line inputs or a microphone
input. Figure 3-5 shows the line input selected. The audio ADC also has a
highpass filter which is a submultiple of the sampling rate, to remove dc or low
frequency components from the signal.If the microphone input is selected,
additional options are presented, as shown in Figure 3-6.
