Instant recovery in a box
The HP and Asempra Recovery solution is a scalable,
modular offering consisting of the Asempra BCS recovery
appliance, an HP StorageWorks EVA 4400 RAID storage
array and optional HP ProLiant failover blade servers—in
an integrated rack enclosure. Light-weight protection
agents connect the solution to your Microsoft Exchange,
SQL and File applications without disruption to your in-
place infrastructure. The solution replicates data via local
area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN)
connections and a continuous history of production data
is maintained on the HP StorageWorks EVA 4400
system. In the event of an outage or data loss, an
authorized administrator can select and recover an entire
system, database, file or individual e-mail from any point
in time with a single mouse click. Data is served to the
application as it is needed, so instead of waiting hours
for a recovery to complete, your users are back online in
seconds. Modular scaling supports up to 64 servers and
25 TB of production data. Cost effective fibre channel or
fibre attached technology adapted (FATA) storage scales
up to 96 TB on the backend, depending on your data
retention needs and co-exists with your primary storage,
regardless of vendor or architecture.
