To find out the Reader ID and firmware version, plug your VisionSensor 2030 into your USB or RS232 
cable, open a text editor program (i.e. Notepad, Microsoft Word...) and read the following code:

You will get a text string with your firmware version and VisionSensor™ 2030 ID number (serial number):

Example: 

Template: 

 - internal product ID (5 char)

 - base firmware version number (4 char), 

 in above example

 - bootloader firmware version number (4 char), 

 in above example

 - radio firmware version number (4 char), 

 in above example

 - reader serial number (10 char), 

 in above example

 is “A” if running firmware is the application, “B” if bootloader (1 char), 

 in above example

 - supplemental internal ID (2 char), 

 in above example

 - display flag and flash file system version (5 char), 

 in above example

 - application firmware ver number (11 char), 

 in above example

Additional control characters will also appear in the output string.
