TMC - especially in Germany, Austria and France
TMC (Traffic Message Channel) is a special application of the
FM Radio Data System (RDS). It continuously
broadcasts encoded traffic and weather information in
real-time, which are being received by the TMC
receiver. The Business Version of the NAVIGON
MobileNavigator compares this data to the current route in a
matter of seconds and calculates an alternative route if
necessary (time saving). The TMC application only receives
traffic information regarding federal roads and motorways. On
country roads and within a city you have the possibility of
manually blocking street sectors. The blocked sectors will not
be used for calculating the route.
Bluetooth®
(Technology for connecting mobile devices without cables)
With the MN|4 the data between your Bluetooth handheld and
the GPS-receiver with Bluetooth-module are being exchanged
via a radio technology.
When you leave your vehicle, simply put the GPS-receiver in
your pocket and navigate while walking around.
