RF IN – Connects to digital TV input from your service provider 

RF OUT – Connects to TV or VCR (optional interface) 

IR – Enables QIP6xxx to control a VCR while recording a selected 
program (not supported by all program guides) 

SPDIF (coaxial) – Provides Dolby® Digital 5:1 audio (surround 
sound) or PCM audio 

S-VIDEO – Connects to S-Video input of TV or VCR 

VIDEO IN – Connects to baseband video output from a VCR, 
camcorder, or other video device (requires EPG support) 

VIDEO OUT – Delivers composite video to an external device, such 
as a TV or VCR 

Y, Pb, Pr (aligned vertically) – Deliver component video for HDTVs  

HDMI – Connects to a high-definition TV (HDTV) 

ETHERNET – (reserved) 

AC SWITCHED OUTLET – Connects AC power cord from another 
device, such as a TV or VCR 

SMART CARD – Supports Smart Card interface (currently not 
enabled) 

OPTICAL SPDIF – Provides Dolby Digital 5.1 audio (surround 
sound) or PCM audio
