National  Electric  Code  (U.S.A.).  The  code  pro-
vides  guidelines  for  proper  grounding  and,  in
particular,  specifies  that  the  cable  ground  shall
be  connected  to  the  grounding  system  of  the
building, as close to the point of the cable 

entry

as practical.
