Turning the Voice Operating Transmission
(VOX) Feature On or Off
This feature allows you to initiate a hands-free voice activated
call on a programmed channel. Your radio automatically
transmits, for a programmed period, whenever the microphone
on the VOX-capable accessory detects voice.
NOTE: You may need to turn off the radio and power it up
again after detaching the VOX-capable microphone
from it to allow the radio to switch to another valid
accessory. The microphone source must be
preconfigured and the VOX-capable accessory
attached to the preconfigured port.
