VLAN Subinterfaces
A Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) allows you to split your physical network connections (X2,
X3, etc...) into many virtual network connection, each carrying its own set of configurations. The
VLAN solution allows each VAP to have its own separate subinterface on an actual physical
interface.

VLAN solution allows each VAP to have its own separate subinterface on an actual physical
interface.
VLAN subinterfaces have most of the capabilities and characteristics of a physical interface,
including zone assignability, security services, WAN assignability (static addressing only),
GroupVPN, DHCP server, IP Helper, routing, and full NAT policy and Access Rule controls.
Features excluded from VLAN subinterfaces at this time are VPN policy binding, WAN dynamic
client support, and multicast support.
