If the phone is on, you’ll see a charging icon, such as   or   , 
appear on the status bar.

Make sure the SIM card is in your phone and the battery is 
charged. 
•  Press and hold the 

Power Key to turn on your phone.

•  To turn it off, press and hold the

 Power Key to open the op-

tions menu. Touch 

Power off and then touch OK.

When you first power on your phone after you purchase it or re-
set it to factory settings (see

use and then touch

2.  Set the date, time, and time zone, or use date and time data 

provided by the network. Then touch

Get an account to create a Google account or touch 

Sign in to sign in to your account.

5.  Enter your name which the phone uses to personalize some 

apps and touch
