Before contacting a service centre

Camera does not take images when pressing the Shutter button

There is insufﬁ cient memory capacity

oDelete unnecessary image ﬁ les
The memory card has not been formatted

oFormat the memory card (p.72)
The memory card is exhausted

oInsert a new memory card
The memory card is locked

oRefer to [Card Locked!] error message
The camera’s power is off

oTurn the camera power on
The battery is exhausted

oInsert fresh batteries (p.15)
Battery is inserted incorrectly with the polarities reversed.

oInsert the battery according to the polarity marks (+, -)

The camera suddenly stops working while in use

The camera stopped due to a malfunction

oRemove /re-insert battery and switch the camera on

The images are unclear

A picture was taken of the subject without setting an appropriate

macro mode

oSelect an appropriate macro mode to take a clear image.
Taking a picture beyond the ﬂ ash range

oTake a picture within the ﬂ ash range
The lens is smudged or dirty

oClean the lens

Please check the following

The camera doesn’t switch on

There is low battery capacity
oInsert fresh batteries. (p.15)
Battery is inserted incorrectly with the polarities reversed.

The camera power ceases while in use

The battery is exhausted
oInsert fresh batteries.
The Camera is turned off automatically
oTurn on the camera power again.

Battery power quickly drains

The Camera is being used in low temperatures
oKeep the camera in warm conditions (i.e. inside a coat or jacket) and

only remove it in order to take images.
