If you select the FM band:

To automatically search for a station, press and hold a
TUNING [ ]/[ ] button for more than half a second
and then release it. The CR-L5 searches for the next
station. Searching stops when a station is found and the
Tuned

necessary, you can use the TUNING [ ]/[ ] buttons
for fine tuning.
The FM band is searched in 0.05 MHz intervals.

If you select the AM band:

Press the TUNING [ ] or [ ] button to change the fre-
quency one interval at a time, or press and hold the but-
ton to quickly change the frequency. When you’re
tuned into a station, the Tuned
 indicator appears.
The AM band is searched in 9 kHz intervals.

Tuning into weak FM stations

If a station has a poor signal strength, you may not be able
to tune into that station properly, or reception may be noisy.
In this case, press the [FM MODE] button. The AUTO and
FM STEREO indicators go off and mono mode is selected.
With the Auto Preset function you can automatically preset
all the FM stations available in your area.
