MIC KEYPAD DIRECT ENTRY (MC-53DM ONLY)
The keypad on the MC-53DM allows you to make

In VFO or Memory Recall mode, use the Mic keypad to
select a frequency {page 63} or memory channel number
{page 37}. In Tone or CTCSS freq. Select mode, use the
keypad to select a Tone frequency {page 30} or CTCSS
frequency {page 56}. First press the Mic PF key
programmed as the ENTER key {page 62}.
