When using Digital Performer (Macintosh):
In each of these cases, you need to set the MIDI Port in the “Audio MIDI setup.”

In the start up disk of Mac OS X (normally named “Macintosh HD”), open “Application” then
“Utilities” and double click “Audio MIDI Setup”.

Click [MIDI Devices] if the [Audio Device] window is indicated.

Add two new external devices by clicking the [Add Device] icon twice.
Each new external device corresponds to each of the MIDI Ports in the KX. It is a good idea to input
your desired device name in the Properties of the new external device in order to easily recognize
the MIDI port later.

Connect the MIDI input/output plugs of the KX icon to the MIDI input/output plugs of the new
external device.
Assign the names as listed below to the newly added devices respectively.
• USB-MIDI Port 1 (left plug)

Connect the virtual plugs so that each port can handle MIDI messages.
