About the Vanguard 6435/6455

Below is a table with Flash memory sizes of different Flash SIMM scenarios:

For additional information about the rear panel ports, the daughtercards, and option 
cards, refer to appropriate section in Chapter 2, Hardware Description.

For information about the physical specifications of the Vanguard 6435/6455, refer 
to Appendix A, Specifications.

You can purchase several types of cards to expand the capability of your Vanguard 
6435 and Vanguard 6455. There are three types of cards:

• Vanguard Daughtercards

• Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercards

• Vanguard 6455 Option Cards

Additional cards may be supported with each software release. Check with your 
Vanguard Managed Solutions representative for the latest list.

16 Megabytes of SDRAM (can be 
expanded with an optional 32 Megabyte 
DIMM).

With release 5.6 and greater the 
Vanguard 6455 is shipped with 32 
Megabyte DIMM installed.
