Displays the type of module actually installed in the slot or the type of module you plan to install in the
slot. The ATLAS 550 controller automatically detects the type of module installed in each slot, and the
T
YPE
field automatically defaults to the installed module type. You can also use this field to preconfigure a
unit before actually installing modules by specifying the module that you want to install in each slot.
To use this option, navigate to the field you want to edit and press <Enter>. For empty slots, a list of all the
available module types displays. Select the one you want and it displays in the
T
YPE
 field. If this field is
already configured with a module, you can only set this field to
E
MPTY
. To change from one module type to
another, you must first set the field to
E
MPTY
.

Displays whether the ATLAS 550 controller or selected module is online or offline. Even though a module
is physically installed, it must be marked
O
NLINE
for it to be considered an available resource. This
parameter allows an installed module to be marked
O
FFLINE
, which may be useful in system
troubleshooting. If you choose
O
FFLINE
, the module will not be in alarm condition, but will display
O
FFLINE
. While in
O
FFLINE
,
 the
STATUS
LED will flash green. A module will automatically change to the

state when installed.
