Adjusting the Height of the Printhead
Adjusting the Height of the Printhead
It is possible to achieve the higher print quality by adjusting 
the height of the printhead. Follow the procedure below to 
operate.
Adjust the height of the printhead. (

Set a cut sheet of the type you intend to use.

Adjust the position of the printhead. (
)
Start the print job from the computer. (
)
After completing the special print job, return the 
printhead height to its original setting and re-align the 
printhead. (

Important
z
After changing the height of the printhead, always 
adjust the print mode. If you do not perform the 
adjustments, you cannot achieve the best print results.
z
When printing on paper-base media (ex: Coated 
Paper, Plain Paper) or any type of media that wrinkles 
easily, never print with the printhead lower than the 
best height for each media. This could also damage 
the printer.

Press the Information button to display Head Height 
and the current printhead height to confirm that the 
setting correct for the media in use.

Press the Online button to display MAIN 
MENU

]) to select Chng Head 
Hght then press [
].

Press [

] to select Yes, then press 
OK button.
The carriage moves to the center when you see 
Carriage Moving.
