Uploading over tftp
In order to upload over TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol), the remote file server 
must be accessible from the MSPV/MSPX Ethernet Sideband port. To verify this 
connectivity you should ping from the file server to the IP of the MSPV/MSPX.
To upload a file over TFTP, use the
system upload tftp
command. 
Note:  
The main purpose of upload command is to save configuration files on a 
source other than the M770 ATM Switch.
Rebooting the switch
It is highly recommended that you use the
system reboot
command to reboot 
the Avaya M770 instead of using the reset button. This is because the
system 
reboot
 
command first flushes any outstanding configuration updates to the non-
volatile memory, whereas pressing the reset button may cause configuration 
information to be lost.
To reboot the switch, use the 
system reboot
 
command. You will be prompted to 
confirm the operation.
Note:  
When the M770 ATM Switch is rebooted, all connections to the switch will be 
lost.
Command:
M15-155s8:/>system upload tftp <ip_address> <flashfile> 
<destination_filename> [<gateway>]
Example:
M15-155s8:/>system upload tftp 194.31.222.23 m770ATM m770ATM_new
Parameters:
<ip_address>
The IP address of the remote TFTP 
server. 
<flashfile>
The full name of the file in flash memory.
<destination_filename>
The full destination file name on the 
remote TFTP server. If the file is contained 
in a sub-directory, the complete path and 
filename must be supplied.
