OmniSwitch 6600 Family Switch Management Guide

Access to managing the switch is always available for the admin user through the console port, even if 
management access to the console port is disabled

Telnet clients supported

Any standard Telnet client.

FTP clients supported

Any standard FTP client.

HTTP (WebView) clients supported

– Internet Explorer for Windows NT, Windows 

XP, and Windows 2000, version 5.5

– Netscape for Windows NT, Windows XP, and 

Windows 2000, version 4.7

– Netscape for Sun OS 2.8, version 4.7
– Netscape for HP-UX 11.0, version 4.7.

Secure Shell clients supported

Any standard Secure Shell client (Secure Shell 
Version 2).

SNMP clients supported

Any standard SNMP manager (such as HP Open-
View).

Session login attempts allowed 
before the TCP connection is 
closed.
