New features in Cisco Video Surveillance Operations Manager include the following:

New Group Management module allows drag-and-drop assignment of camera groups and
bulk editing of camera details
●
New public database views for use by integrators and third-party software
●
SmartSearch, which provides a live and recorded video searching utility
●
New device drivers
New features in Cisco Video Surveillance Virtual Matrix include a variety of client performance
enhancements and internal upgrades to make it compatible with the Media Server Client.
Upgrade Paths
Typically, upgrading from previous releases of Cisco Video Surveillance Manager products is
supported without loss of video data or configurations. Older releases may require special steps. If

Availability
Cisco Video Surveillance Manager products are available for order beginning February 18, 2008.
Domestic shipments begin on February 21, 2008, and international shipments begin on March 7,
2008.
