1. Connect to the ATLAS 550 using either the ETHERNET, ADMIN, or CRAFT interfaces.

If you are not already connected to the unit’s 

or 

interface, either with a VT100 

compatible terminal or with a PC running VT100 emulation software, use the procedure in DLP-2, 
Logging in to the ATLAS 550, to connect to the 

or 

 interface.

Alternatively, if the unit is part of a management cluster connected to the local network, you may use a 
PC connected to the network to Telnet into the unit. To connect to the 

interface, use the 

procedures in DLP-3, Setting IP Parameters for the ATLAS 550, and in DLP-4, Verifying 
Communications Over an IP LAN.

2. Log in to the unit using the read-write password (see DLP-2, Logging in to the ATLAS 550, for details).

1. Go to the S

 menu and press the right-arrow key to access the right-pane menus. Select 

the A

 menu and choose the appropriate threshold level. The A

 

will set for this threshold and all other alarms of greater importance. Refer to Section 7, System Event 
Logging of this user manual for a listing of all alarms and levels of importance.

1. Go to the S

 menu and press the right-arrow key to access the right-pane menus. Then, 

select the E

 menu and press <Enter>. Once in the E

 menu, press the 

right-arrow key to access the right-pane menus. 

2. From the E

 menu, select the E

 menu and set it to the same value as the 

. Any event on the A

 will now be logged in the E

 and 

set the A

.

1. Go to the S

 menu and press the right-arrow key to access the right-pane menus. Then, 

select the A

 field and press <Enter>.
