AMP Out-of-Band Management

connect a modem to the CyberSWITCH (using the Console connection)

•

connect the modem to the analog line (use a standard PC modem RS232 cable for this, do 
not use the supplied cable)

connect the managing PC to a modem

•

connect the modem to the analog line (use a standard PC modem RS232 cable for this, do 
not use the supplied cable)

NSTRUCTIONS

To access the CyberSWITCH using AMP out-of-band management, your PC must have a 
communications package to connect the PC’s modem to the modem connected to the 
CyberSWITCH. After you have connected to the CyberSWITCH via modem, you will appear to be 
directly connected to the CyberSWITCH. The CyberSWITCH login screen will be displayed. Enter 
the login information. You can then enter commands or make any needed configuration changes. 

When finished, enter the 

exit

 command at the system prompt to end the session with the 

CyberSWITCH.

Note:

If you need to quit then restart the CyberSWITCH for some reason (for example, to make 
configuration changes effective) issue the 

restart

 command. Then reestablish your 

connection.
