The 5100/6100 VDR operating system has an upgradable FTPLoader. The FTPLoader
commands can be issued only from within the FTPLoader system. Through the FTPLoader, you
can:

define basic settings and view information about FTP and system settings or image status
•
run a configuration from RAM
•
download a software image after a format
•
ping network equipment to check connectivity
•
save new settings, such as an Ethernet address or FTP password
•
reset the 5100/6100 VDR to have changes take effect
Accessing the FTPLoader
You can access the FTPLoader by following these steps.
To access the FTPLoader
1. Power on the VDR and watch the console as the boot sequence appears.
2. To access the FTPLoader program, press Esc to skip the RAM test.
