Static Route Screens
This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your NBG-318S.
14.1 Static Route Overview
Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and
the NBG-318S has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the NBG-318S knows
about network N2 in the following figure through remote node router R1. However, the NBG-
318S is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a route
through the same remote node router R1 (via gateway router R2). The static routes are for you
to tell the NBG-318S about the networks beyond the remote nodes.
