PROBLEM
CORRECTIVE ACTION
I cannot get a 
WAN IP address 
from the ISP.
The ISP provides the WAN IP address after authenticating you. Authentication 
may be through the user name and password, the MAC address or the host name.
The username and password apply to PPPoE and PPPoA encapsulation only. 
Make sure that you have entered the correct Service TypeUser Name and 
Password (be sure to use the correct case). Refer to 
 (web 
configurator).

I cannot access 
the Internet.
Make sure the ZyXEL Device is turned on and connected to the network.
If the DSL LED is off, refer to 
Verify your WAN settings. Refer to the chapter on WAN setup (web configurator).
Make sure you entered the correct user name and password.
If you use PPPoE pass through, make sure that bridge is turned on. 
Internet 
connection 
disconnects.
If you use PPPoA or PPPoE encapsulation, check the idle time-out setting. Refer to
