PROBLEM
CORRECTIVE ACTION
I cannot access the 
ZyXEL device.
The Password and Username fields are case-sensitive. Make sure that you enter the 
correct password and username using the proper casing.
Use the RESET button on the top panel of the ZyXEL device to restore the factory 
default configuration file (hold this button in for about 10 seconds or until the link light 
turns red). This will restore all of the factory defaults including the password.

the WLAN.
Make sure the link light on the ZyXEL device is on. 
Check that both the ZyXEL device and your wireless station are using the same 
security settings. Refer to

I cannot ping any 
computer on the 
WLAN.
Make sure the link light on the ZyXEL device is on.  
Make sure the wireless adapter on the wireless station(s) is working properly.
Check that both the ZyXEL device and wireless station(s) are using the same  
Name(SSID), channel and WEP keys (if WEP encryption is activated).
