Neuss, 9 March 2006
Toshiba Projection & Display Technology (PDT), leading provider of professional data
and video projectors, has again demonstrated its status as a technology leader and is
among the first manufacturers in the world to launch an LED projector. This all-new
projector, available from February under the product name ff1, is the latest addition to
Toshiba’s “all-in-one concept”. The ultra-compact LED projector is supplied as a
complete portable set including rechargeable battery, battery charger, screen and
carrying case.

among the first manufacturers in the world to launch an LED projector. This all-new
projector, available from February under the product name ff1, is the latest addition to
Toshiba’s “all-in-one concept”. The ultra-compact LED projector is supplied as a
complete portable set including rechargeable battery, battery charger, screen and
carrying case.
The tiny ff1 mobile LED projector (135 x 55 x 100 mm), weighing in at a mere 500 grams,
delivers 1,500:1 contrast and features an image size range of 0.45 to 1.38 meters at a throw
distance of 0.65 to 2.0 meters. LEDs (light emitting diodes) have a lifespan of around 10,000
operating hours, far higher than conventional projector lamps, so that operating costs are
reduced by eliminating investment in expensive replacement lamps.
The projector processes video input signals in all common formats - NTSC, PAL, SECAM and
HDTV (via D-sub15 interface) - and PC input signals of types UXGA, SXGA, XGA, SVGA and
VGA. Input and output interfaces have D-sub15 connections for PC plus Composite Video, S-
video, USB Type A, audio mini jack and headphone connections. A simple, clear menu guides
users through entry of projector settings. Presenters will appreciate the flexibility offered by
the remote control unit supplied, which is no bigger than a credit card.
Mobility guaranteed: Integrated power supply
