Brightness

Drag a slider to adjust the bright-

ness level of the screen. Setting the 

brightness to the lowest comfortable 

level will maximize battery life.
Use a lower setting when viewing in 

dim environments; use a higher set-

ting in bright environments.

Screen Timeout

Set how long before the screen turns 

off after the last touch of the screen/

button. To maximize battery life, 

use the shortest timeout that is still 

convenient.

Use wireless net-

works

Check to use information from Wi-Fi 

and mobile networks to determine 

your approximate location.
Your location information is anony-

mous and is used to personalize and 

improve your experience with many 

applications.

Create a pattern that must be drawn 

on the screen in order to unlock the

This screen unlock pattern can

Require pattern
