Before Recording

This chapter shows you how to record HDD or DVD discs from external sources by using the 
remote control. Some of the functions may require readdressing your OSD Settings. Please refer 
to Chapter 1-4: RECORD Setup for details.

(1) One touch recording from any video source

(2) AV/DV/Tuner/Hard drive to DVD+R/DVD+RW.

AV/DV/Tuner/DVD to hard drive.

Please check the following if recording doesn’t happen.

(1) Correct placement of disc.

(2) Use only hard drive or DVD+R/RW discs for recording.

(3) Compatible disc formats.

(4) Free recording space on disc.

(5) Correct connections to the external equipment (please refer to the Quick Connection 

). 

(6) Please place disc in recorder again if all fails.

Please check the following if recording doesn’t happen.

(1) Disc is loaded onto the disc tray.

(2) Free space on the HDD or DVD+R/RW discs

(3) Power is turned off.

(4) Unportect Disc is set to On (please refer to Chapter 4-2 Editing DVD: Editing Titles 

 on page 62).
