Before installing your machine, read
the safety instructions at the begin-
ning of this manual. To install the ma-
chine, follow these procedures:

A

Find a suitable location for the ma-
chine.

B

Remove all the pieces of tape at-
tached to the machine.

C

Open the front cover and remove
the tapes from a toner cassette and
a photo conductor unit.

D

Attach the accessories and load the
paper in the paper tray. 

E

Connect the power. (See p.121
“ C o n n e c t i n g   t h e   P o w e r   a n d
Switching On”.)

F

Connect the phone line. (See p.122
“ C o n n e c t i n g   t o   a   T e l e p h o n e
Line”.)

G

Enter all necessary information and
settings in your machine's memo-
ry. See p.41 “Registering”, Basic
Features.
