Configuring the Remote Module Using a Digital Telephone
Introduction
This section describes how to program the Remote Module using your digital telephone.
If desired, the Remote Module may also be programmed using the terminal configuration menu available
through the COM port on the Remote Module.

Telephone Function Keys
Once the Remote Module has been successfully installed, you can configure it by pressing the dialpad keys
on your digital telephone. Using these keys, you can move through the menus, access the menus, and make
changes to the menu’s options. The phone menus are displayed on two lines. The top line is the menu display
line. The bottom line is the menu soft-text line, displaying what direction you can travel through the tele-
phone menus.
Depending on the telephone type, you will see slightly different menu displays. The menus displayed with
20 characters are, for the most part, abbreviated versions of the menus displayed with 40 characters.
